Throwaway or permanent: the side-by-side call
There is no single right answer here. It depends on what you plan to do inside Genspark after the first session. The table below puts the trade-off in plain view.
| Question | Temporary inbox | Permanent address |
|---|---|---|
| Opening the account | Works if the signup form accepts the domain and the confirmation mail lands | Works, and the address stays reachable for years |
| Verification code or link | Fine for a one-off check, as long as you read it before the inbox expires | Always there when you need it again |
| Credits, projects, and files | Stranded if you lose the inbox — Genspark says plans, credits, projects, and files stay on the original account | Yours to return to, including any paid plan |
| Password reset later | Gone with the inbox | Arrives in your real mail |
| Spam after signup | None in your real inbox | Product mail lands where you live |
Sources for the Genspark side of this table: Genspark's own Account Management help page (genspark.ai/helpcenter/account-management), which says accounts are tied to the signup email and cannot be changed, and that email sign-in uses a one-time code or password. When we checked on 6 November 2026, email and password was listed alongside Google, Microsoft, and Apple sign-in.
What a temporary inbox actually does in this signup
A temp mail address is a real, working inbox with a short life. You open it, copy the address, paste it into Genspark's signup form, and watch for the confirmation message. TempoMailUSA works this way for basic use: open the site, get an inbox, read the mail, no signup needed on our side. The free domain is chapsmail.com, and there are 426 premium domains for VIP users — 427 served domains in total, as listed in our verified site facts.
That is the whole job it is good at: receiving the one message that lets you through the door. It does not send mail, it does not hold your history, and it will not rescue an account you locked yourself out of. For a Genspark test drive, that is enough. For a Genspark workspace you plan to build in, it is not.
One more wrinkle surfaced in our reading: a 2025 account-creation write-up said some Genspark referral signups also ask for phone verification. We could not confirm that from Genspark's own help pages, so do not count on it — but do not be surprised if a phone step appears after the email step. TempoMailUSA also offers temp numbers for SMS verification as a separate feature, which is a different tool for a different step.
Trying it in five short moves
- Open a fresh inbox first. Get the address ready before you touch Genspark, so the confirmation mail has somewhere to land the moment you submit the form.
- Pick the email route at signup. Genspark offers Google, Microsoft, and Apple sign-in too — a throwaway address only fits the email-and-password path.
- Submit, then watch the inbox. The confirmation link or one-time code should arrive quickly. If nothing shows after a few minutes, check the spam handling of the inbox and request a resend once.
- Save anything worth keeping straight away. Download or copy out any result you care about. Assume the inbox, and the account behind it, may not be reachable tomorrow.
- Decide before you pay. If the test convinces you to buy credits or a plan, that is the moment to switch to a permanent address — a fresh account on an address you control — rather than attaching money to an inbox that expires.
If the form rejects the address outright, that is your answer: Genspark's filters drew the line there. Do not cycle through domains trying to slip past it — a refused signup is a signal, not a puzzle.
Questions people ask
Can I sign up for Genspark with just an email address?
Yes, according to Genspark's own help pages and several 2026 signup guides: email and password sits next to Google, Microsoft, and Apple options. You sign in later with that same address, using either a one-time code sent to it or your password.
Will a temporary address work for Genspark?
Unconfirmed. We found no public statement from Genspark about disposable domains, and we did not test it by creating an account. The signup may accept it, or the form may refuse it. Use a permanent address for anything you want to keep.
What happens if I lose access to the signup email?
Per Genspark's help pages, your account is tied to the address you signed up with and it cannot be changed — not in the app, and not by support. A new address means a new, empty account, and your plan, credits, projects, and files stay on the original one.
